UV exposure unit
I gave away my old exposure unit due to being 230V and therefore not compatible with my new living space.
The new unit uses LEDs, 3mm. Chosen after checking the maximum sensitivity wavelength of my go to PCB material. There were not to expensive on ebay. The whole thing is controlled by an Arduino with a relay to accommodate the current needs and a 16x2 LCD display.
Housing is 1/2 inch plywood with black paint to minimize reflections. Simple, cheap and very stable. LEDs are arranged on a prototype board found on Amazon. The spacing will have to be optimized in the future, light density is not yet as uniform as it could be. If the artwork is of good quality this has not been an issue.
The clear plate is acrylic, glued on with black silicon. Glass with offer better UV translucence.
